CEC Accepting Applications for Board Director Representing Prineville Area

The Board of Directors of Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. is accepting applications from co-op members interested in being considered for the position of director from District No. 9, which extends east of Prineville, beyond Paulina, and south to the Hampton area. The successful candidate will serve out the term vacated by Shirley McCullough, who retired after 35 years on the Board. The appointed director may run for reelection to the position’s three-year term in April 2022.

Prospective candidates should have experience serving on committees or boards where fiscal responsibility is paramount in the group discussion/decision process and possess in-depth business background/education.

Interested parties, by February 19, must submit:

  • Completed application
  • Letter of interest, and
  • Resume.

Prospective candidates must affirm they have reviewed CEC’s Conflict of Interest Policy and agree to comply with the Policy if selected to serve on the Board of Directors.

The CEC Board of Directors’ nine members meets monthly at the company’s Redmond headquarters and at other specific meetings. Directors serve three-year terms elected by the CEC membership residing in each of the nine geographic districts within CEC’s service territory.
