Irrigation Efficiency Saves Money, Saves Energy
Central Electric Cooperative and the Bonneville Power Administration offer cash rebates under three energy efficiency incentive programs targeting agricultural irrigation. We strive to ensure equitable distribution of the Bonneville Power Administration Energy Efficiency Incentive funding. Due to current high participation levels, CEC has taken the necessary step of limiting the potential incentive amount per project to $5,000. In addition an annual $10,000 per membership incentive limit is in place. This practice may change due to factors including, but not limited to, available funding and levels of participation.
Irrigation Pump Efficiency Upgrades & Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
Upgrading inefficient pumps with a new pump or adding a VFD to a new or existing pump can save energy, time, money and even worry when you are saved the work of managing irrigation systems with widely different discharge pressures. You also may see reduced demand charges.
Wheel lines, hand lines and pivots can all qualify for equipment replacement. Incentives are available for both upgrades to old systems and new installations.
Pump Testing Rebates
You can receive a rebate for having the efficiency of your pumps tested.
