Green Power

From 1998 through 2015, the Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) member contributions to the Green Power program were dedicated exclusively to the Coffin Butte landfill gas-to-electricity plant in Benton County. Now CEC Green Power premiums support the construction and operation of renewable energy systems that we own or purchase power from. CEC’s Green Power is available to all CEC members.

To participate in the Green Power program, CEC members agree to purchase at least one 100-kilowatt-hour block per month at a price of $1.80 per block. So, if you sign up for 300 kilowatt-hours of Green Power every month, your electric bill will increase only $5.40. For large bulk purchases, please call to discuss special pricing.
