Thermostatically Controlled Outlet

Adding a thermostatically controlled outlet to control the heating in a pump house, utility shed, chicken coop, or other unconditioned area to prevent piping, other materials and animals from freezing is a cost-effective way of keeping heating costs in check. Typically, a thermostatically controlled outlet will turn on when the building ambient temperature is below 39° Fahrenheit (F), and will stop providing power at a temperature no higher than 50°F.

CEC offers a rebate of $20 per outlet. Limit of one per building and a maximum of two per member.

If there are any past due balances owed to CEC rebates will be credited to member’s account. Applicant certifies that they are not excluded, disqualified, or debarred from receiving federal assistance and are not on the Federal Suspension and Debarment list.
