CEC’s Energy Efficiency blog might be an unusual place to read about investments, but investing in your home or business is exactly what energy efficiency is about.  Homeowners can receive incentives (or rebates) by Investing in their home heating system or upgrading their home’s windows, doors, electric hot water heater and insulation. Additionally, those energy efficiency investments by homeowners can provide “dividends” through lower energy costs for years to come.

CEC’s residential energy efficiency programs have seen some changes including increases in incentive amounts. Heat pump water heater rebates, rebates for window upgrades, and insulation rebates have all increased. CEC also offers incentives for heat pump replacements and upgrades, ductless heat pump installations and replacing less energy efficient home entry doors with Energy Star rated doors.

Energy efficiency investments are not just for homes. CEC also offers rebates to commercial/industrial accounts for upgrading lighting and to farm or ranch accounts for upgrading irrigation equipment. As with all of the cooperative’s incentives, conditions do apply, so please visit CEC’s website for details. You can also call and talk to a CEC Energy Specialist directly about investing in your home or business at 541-548-2144.
